For a message board based around music there ain’t a whole lot of music going around here. The idea of this thread is to share a mix, any kind of mix whatsoever, that you think other people need to hear. It can be old, it can be new, it can be a local, it can be a superstar - doesn’t matter to me as long as you think it’s good. Please post one up if you feel so inclined, or at least listen to something posted by somebody else. I’ll start with a few.

Remixes of reggae classics new and old with a consistent flow throughout this mix infuses smooth DnB with dub & dancehall; the mixing & programming are pretty damn close to perfect. DJ Whizard is from LA and the set you need to download is Imperial Dub 4 (the rest are good but this one is by far my favorite):

Producing world-class releases for over a decade, the Swedish progressive duo Vibrasphere has been blowing up lately with support from the likes of John “00” Flemming, Christophere Lawrence, and Markus Shulz. They recently did a set for John 00’s show Global Trance Grooves that is possibly the most impressive all-original prog set I’ve ever heard. Staying true to the “prog” sound without swaying towards the ultra-popular “electro” trend, their tunes are deep, melodic, lush, and ethereal.

An awesome musician who passed before his time, Desimal was well-known and loved as a producer of drum & bass. Falling deeper and deeper into schizophrenia his last few years, he took his own life in 2006 at the age of 25. Before he died he released a single downtempo psydub mix which is probably the best I’ve ever heard, and one I can listen to over and over and over. If you like the chiller side of Shpongle you will be absolutely amazed by this:
